Chemical Engineering

Chemical Engineering

Chemical engineering is a combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Mathematics and Economics subjects. Chemical engineering involves the processing of chemicals, their production, mixing of chemicals, transformation, refining of raw materials, processing, transportation, and managing the industrial processes to make raw materials into finished products. Chemical engineers are involved in chemical plant designs and contribute to environmental protection and develop chemical processes. Many institutions and universities are offering Chemical engineering courses. Students can pursue Diploma, UG, PG, Doctoral programmes based on their qualifications. Institutes and Universities conduct entrance exams to enter the respective course. Most Chemical engineers are involved in the invention, development, design, operation and management of processes in industries. Chemical engineers work in several fields as Chemists, Industrial engineers, Materials engineers as well as Electrical engineers. They are responsible for the availability of modern high- quality materials that are essential for running an Industrial economy. Chemical engineers design equipment and operate chemical plants and they determine the best methods for production.
